What does it really mean to trust the Lord?

In 1 Chronicles 5, over 44,000 mighty soldiers went into battle. They possessed courage, weapons, and military skill, but that was not enough. Their victory came only because they cried unto God and put their trust in Him.

This passage reminds every believer that victory is never found in our own strength but in complete dependence upon God. It also warns us that prosperity can become more dangerous than adversity if we stop trusting Jesus Christ, who gave us the victory.
