Where Are You?

Where Are You? | Joshua 6:12–27

When the walls of Jericho fell, everyone was found somewhere. Joshua was obeying the LORD. Israel was faithfully following his command. Rahab and her family were trusting under the protection of the scarlet cord. Jericho was resisting God, and Achan would soon be found coveting what belonged to the LORD.

The same question God asked Adam in the garden still echoes today: "Where art thou?" More importantly, where are you?

In this message from Joshua 6:12–27, we examine the final moments of Jericho's destruction and discover that when God is at work, the safest place to be is exactly where he wants you to be. Through the compassing of the city, the command to shout, the curse of the spoils, the consecration of what belonged to God, the salvation of Rahab's household, and Joshua's faithful obedience, this passage challenges every believer to consider where they stand in relation to God's will.

Whether God has called you to lead or follow, to march or wait, to shout or quietly serve, the question remains the same: Where are you?

Most importantly, are you still resisting God like Jericho, or are you safely under the scarlet blood of Jesus Christ?
