The Resurrection Laundry
In John 20:5-7, John paused at the entrance of the empty tomb and saw something remarkable: the graveclothes and the napkin left behind where Jesus had been laid. These details are not incidental. They testify that Jesus Christ rose in victory over death and will never die again.
In this message, we examine what the linen clothes and the napkin represent and how they picture the difference between the condition of the lost sinner and the new life found in Christ. The resurrection of Jesus Christ means the believer is no longer bound in the garments of death but walks in the freedom and righteousness of new life.
This sermon reminds us that because Christ is risen, we are not alone, not without hope, and not citizens of this world only, but heirs of resurrection life through him.
